Nude A-line Skirt And Black Top

When I saw this skirt, I immediately fell in love. The nude/pink color and the heavy fabric look and feel so good. But then when I tried it on, I hesitated. It's so long! And it isn't a pencil skirt either. Exactly, it's nothing like I have in my closet already. It's a super chic skirt for the office and still sexy too, even though it doesn't show your knees.

I think Coco Chanel would have approved of this skirt. ;-)

PS: we're flying off to Belfast tomorrow to see Calvin Harris!

At Home Office/Study Room Inspiration

Last week my books arrived for my second year of Bachelor of Business Administration. They're now neatly placed at a shelf of my white bookcase. But, the rest of my study at my apartment doesn't look quite ready for studying yet.

Last year my study room looked like this, but this year I'm ready for a new look.
Hence my post for office inspiration!

Best Back To School Movies

To get back into school/college/uni vibe, here is my list of my favorite back to school movies.

Legally Blonde

Since the movie came out, it's my number one back to school movie. I love the part that she is getting serious to study and buys a MacBook in her bunny suit.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

Maybe not the best 'get studying!' movie, but it sure is hilarious!

Mean Girls

"It's so fetch!" and "We wear pink on Wednesdays" are absolute classic lines in this movie. Plus, great actor's list like: Rachel McAdams, Tina Fey, Amanda Seyfried, Amy Poehler and a still cute Lindsay Lohan.

The Breakfast Club

I basically love all John Hughes movies with Molly Ringwald, but this is my all time favorite. I think that everyone can relate to one or maybe a bit of every character. Love the part that they're dancing!

Gossip Girl

Ok ok, it's not a movie! But, doesn't this series make you swoon over their high school and college outfits? And makes you wish you were living in NYC in the fall? I know I do!
I own the third season on DVD because of Hilary Duff's part, but I'm currently binge watching it on Netflix!

Grease

The ultimate 'summer is over, back to school movie'. And I still love it to date, after seeing it so many times since I was a kid! "Summer lovin' had me a blast".

Animal House

A true classic. Please at least watch it for John Belushi.

Uni Is Almost Starting Again

I don´t want to imply that summer is over yet, but it sure does show a few signs:

  • Dutch summer is getting colder;
  • we already went on holiday;
  • I just registered for second year of BSc Business Administration.
Yup, Uni is starting soon. And quite frankly, I'm quite excited!! I chose my minor to be Marketing and my courses will be:
  • Strategic management
  • Marketing management
  • Human Resource management
  • Production and Operations Management

Since I was in primary school, I love to go shopping for school supplies. And that hasn't stopped yet. Last September when my first year of BSc started; I use a paper calendar again besides my iPhone.

To prepare for all of this, I've been cleaning and sorting out my study room. It really needed some TLC after I neglected it for the summer!

And last thing I have to arrange before the next year starts: buy a university hoodie!! ;-)

What Will Be, Will Be

Lately I got a lot of time on my hands to think of the future and what will come. I wrote here on this blog before that I have a lot to celebrate, but I had it all sink it in as well. Hence, I didn't wrote for a few that. That, and because it's been so warm, that I mainly sat outside and read, catching up with friends and spending time with my bf. ;-) Also, I picked up a new course that I will write about later.

Via instragram I came across the above quote. It reminded me that now is a time to be really open for anything that will come across my path. Just like my course. Who would think that I would sneak in a (or more) course just before the next study year will start?!

Although this time is a little frightening because I don't know what will come, it's really exciting as well.

You might be very confused reading all of this, but I promise, I'll explain all later. ;-)

The future looks bright to me...

Hello August!

Happy August everyone! The first day of August was spent with my dad and stepmom coming over in the morning celebrating that I passed my exams. As a gift, they brought my grandmother's pearl necklace. It was such a surprise! I've always loved this one and it's so special too. Love that it used to be my grandmother's and after that my stepmom's too.

At night my bf went out for sushi to celebrate (some more) and after we went for cocktails. Just before we headed home we saw some colleagues of mine which we chatted and laughed with as well. It was such a fun night!~

Sunday we went hiking around the park and water in Rotterdam. It was way too hot to go for a run, so hiking was the best option for a sweat!

Monday I caught up with an old colleague whom I haven't seen in months but we always stayed in touch over the years. I had so much to tell him, it was good to see each other again and enjoy the sun. It was so warm!

This month I'm not really sure what will come up my path. But one thing I'm sure about: at the end of this month my bf and I will travel to Belfast to see Calvin Harris live!! YAY!!!!
