Dior Make-Up Haul

This past weekend I made little splurge on Dior make-up. I actually only went in for a new eye pallet, but it was too hard to resist buying a new lipstick too.

These are my type of colors. I like brown, natural colors. Great for a day time office look, but easily upgradable to evening wear. Love that the liner is included. And it's very easy to apply as well. I apply the highlighter, number 4, with the tip of my finger for just a little extra spark. Although, it's maybe a little too much glitter for an office look.

Now I either wear a hot red lip, or soft pink/nude. This color is slightly darker than I normally wear. But I wanted to have a lipstick that actually looks like one, and not that it just looks like I'm wearing lipgloss. I have fairly pink lips from myself, so sometimes a balm is all I need. This time I opted for a shade darker than my natural lip color and I love it! When I wear it, it feels like a balm rather than drying out my lips. Plus, because the shade isn't too far off from my own, it's totally kiss proof! ;-)

Favorite Kind Of Weekend

Friday evening with a friend, catching up over finger food and bubbles.

My favorite weekends are spend with great company, good food and good wine. Don't actually mind whether it's spend inside or outside, with these three ingredients, it's a recipe for my favorite kind of weekends. :-)

Some red wine and snacks before dinner.

Did anyone say matching sweatpants? But perfect for a little unwinding before going out.

Instead of a formal sit-down dinner, we opted for some (more) finger food and drinks. This way of eating out is definitely a keeper!

New Kitchen Items

Recently I've been on a cleaning roll. I've been throwing away so much stuff. From my wardrobe alone, I donated 5 bags to the Salvation's Army.
Same for my kitchen. Just so much stuff I've been holding on to for years. I've been living by myself since I was 21 and have been the same Ikea flatware and china ever since. Time for an update!

Villeroy & Boch Oscar flatware. It's so pretty and shine! Great quality as well. Also have white and red wine glasses from this brand.

And also new Villeroy & Boch additions: pans! A stir fry pan and a normal frying pan. Never been more excited about pans then now!

The update I'm most excited about is my new china! It's the most classic china Edme by Wedgwood. I grew up with this china at my dad's and grandmother's house. It still doesn't bore me and it's so classic and beautiful. But also perfect for everyday use. It is pretty expensive, but I see it as an investment for hopefully years and years of use. Also it has endless of options so you can keep expending your collection!

The water glasses were in need of an update as well. Threw out the plain Ikea ones and replaced them with these from Villeroy & Boch. Hmmm... I think I see a pattern here...

Last but not least, whiskey glasses by Dutch brand Libbey! The glasses are so beautiful and heavy. Perfect for an iced drink. :-)

Done (for now) with my kitchen items upgrade. So happy that I made the investment and did this. After all, these are day to day items and they bring me a little joy every time I use them!

What I've Been Up To Lately

You might have noticed I haven't updated as much as I do normally around here and on Instagram. Well I thought I would tell a little bit about what I've been up to.

Remember I told you about exciting things happening in earlier this month? Well, I can tell you now... I've got a new job!! I made a career switch (I was in business before) in the field as wel as a different branche. Doing something completely different, but still using the skills that I already had. Plus, finally my major in Marketing comes in handy. So there you have it, I have a job in Marketing now! Really, couldn't be more excited! Another great thing is that this blog, the one I've been working on for over 5 years, was finally an asset when I applied for this job!

But when I come home from work (and made a stop first at the gym), I still need to study. Luckily for me, I'm in my final year! Exams will be in May and then hopefully if all goes well, I will be graduating this year! Can you believe it, graduating in Marketing while actually having a job in Marketing. Dream come true!

Besides studying, the gym and having a full time job I still want to make time for friends and family and luckily I still have some time left for them! But that means that, some days or weeks, I'll have less time to update the blog.

Don't get me wrong though, I stil LOVE blogging and writing content and making pictures, just don't have a lot of time on my hands. That will all be different after the exams!

Until then, you can still read my updates on this blog and I'll try to update more often. And of course follow me on Instagram for more daily updates!
