Outfit Post: Linen Kimono & Olive Green Pant

Finally a new outfit post! These posts are my favorite posts of my blog and I like to pose for the pictures and pick out my favorites to show here. Lately I have been pretty busy so I haven't updated the fashion part of my blog for a while. But also, the weather was so so. Often times cloudy and rainy. We have had some great sunny days, but then I was studying. For real.

The linen kimono from Mango (now on sale!) is a nice light fabric for spring & summer and a nice change to my wardrobe. I don't have anything like this but when I saw it in the store I wanted to have it. This olive green pant is from Pieces. The two tone pumps are from Zara which I bought a few weeks ago. I love this neutral outfit for the office. To add a little color I wore a light pink Bay Lips from Maybelline.

The Lyrics

Lately I've been listening to a lot of new to me artists and new albums. For me, it's almost impossible not to listening to the lyrics, even if it's a dance song. For example: Summer from Calvin Harris. I love his music and I always want to dance to it. Summer is THE 2014 Summer song to me. I'll always sing along! I just downloaded his album and single. Great for pre-parties and gym time.

"And we could be together, baby, as long as skies are blue"

Recently I discovered Lorde. I knew the song Royals, but didn't made the link between the to. When I searched her on Youtube, I was amazed. what a voice! Her songs are so dreamy and catchy! I'm really into Buzzcut season and Team:

And we could be together baby
As long as skies are blue

"Living in ruins of the palace within my dreams
And you know, we're on each other's team"

A few days ago someone sent me Magic from Coldplay. I had heard the song before, but never really listened to the lyrics. I looked them up the internet and it's just like they were written for me. It's really hard not to tear up when I listen to this one.
The whole new Coldplay album Ghost Stories is really good!

"And if you were to ask me
After all that we've been through
Still believe in magic
Oh yes I do"

Confession: I was never really into Ed Sheeran, but I didn't know much of him too. Recently I listened A Team a lot and then I thought, why not download the whole album? He has a new one coming up later this month! This is from Give Me Love:

"Give me love like never before
Cos lately I've been craving more
And It's been a while but I still feel the same
Maybe I should let you go"

Do you listen to lyrics often? Any suggestions to which album/song/artist I should listen? New or old no matter what genre, I'm up for anything!

Lately...

I haven't blogged for such a long time and I can't really tell why. I was so busy with studying for my exam, that in all of my free time after work and in weekends I climbed into my books and study notes.
Especially the weekend of Pentecost I was studying on my balcony the whole weekend and I took some days off of work as well. I did got a tan though!
Last Wednesday I had the exam. It basically took the whole day and I have mixed feelings about it. It will take another 8 (!) weeks before I'll know the results...

Last Friday I had something personal to celebrate... I celebrated it with home made cosmo's! Wonder about the orange t-shirt?

After the cocktails at my place we headed to a bar where we watched the first soccer game of this World Cup!! No one thought we would stand a chance against them (four years ago Spain won from us and the Netherlands became second), but they blew our minds by winning 5-1 from the current World Cup holders. Yes, we won from Spain! Talk about revenge right?

Afterwards we met some friends and celebrated our victory through the night. I must say, this was the perfect Friday 13th!!

Saturday I went out for dinner and Sunday I enjoyed a first Sunday of non studying since forever!

And Sunday I posted this picture on Instagram for Father's Day! You can follow me along on Instagram and Twitter when I'm not that active here...
